Beautiful Kauai!

Little Moku hanging out in his box. Right before this picture was taken he was hanging out next to the water with Tim and the tide came up and swept him off of his feet. He was so terrified he ran back and jumped into his box and would only peer out after that.

Cafe Portafino restaurant at the Marriot Beach Club Resort over looking Kalapaki Beach.

The Marriot's pool was amazing. It was huge and it had 5 hot tubs. We were in heaven!

Cafe Portafino!

Tim never smiles normally...he's always got to make some silly face when we're trying to take pictures.

Queen's Bath--after a fourth of a mile, red muddy trail and climbing a million lava rocks you come upon the most beautiful pots of water you can jump into and snorkel around in.

Queen's Bath

On our last day at Kalapaki Beach Tim and I went out sailing in Nawiliwili Bay. We were so excited to be out on the water and we saw two turtles fairly close to the boat. However, Captain Don was a little tweaked on some sort of drug and we were glad to be back on solid ground after our hours worth.

Meg and Moku in Haleiwa (on the North Shore in Oahu) just right before we went and ate yummy pizza at Spaghettini's.

so cute!

Kailee buried in the sand out front of our hotel

Hideaway's Beach--right before we made our descent down the rickety, wonky staircase.

Hideaway's Beach--this beach was so beautiful. It was hidden away from anything else and only a few people new of this gem. It also had beautifully calm waters that were perfect for snorkeling.

Overlooking Wailua Falls

Boarding the Wade K boat. Kailee that it was pretty neat that there was a boat with her same name. She just had to take a million pictures next to it. Soon after the boat took us up to Fern Grotto.

Tim doing the rope swing at Kipu Falls. This swimming hole was hidden off the highway and we wouldn't have known about it unless we had followed our tour guide book for directions. We visited Kipu Falls a few times while we were there...it became our favorite hang out. There was also a beautiful 20 foot waterfall that you could jump off of....it was absolutely beautiful.

Our PT Cruiser Convertible that we rented for a day. We drove around the entire island and saw so much awesome sights.

Turtle at Poipu Beach

Monk seals came up on the beach at Poipu Beach. There were two of them and one of them came up further onto the beach allowing me to snap some pretty close pictures.

Wailua Falls--you used to be able to hike down the base of the falls until last year a young girl died during a flash flood and they now have the entire thing marked off.

Lunch at Brennecke's--they had the yummiest smoothies. In fact Meghan and Tim ordered $30 worth of drinks between the two of them.

I am coming into town this weekend but only for a quick wedding (Fri night-Tues morning). We will be coming towards the end of August for about a week...so let's plan a dinner get together!!!

Oh that would be a blast. There is nothing funner than spending time with the sibs in an exotic setting. BUT... quite frankly I would be happy if we went anywhere...it's fun anywhere when you're with family.
