It goes everywhere-- upstairs, downstairs, highchair while eating, restaurants, grocery stores...etc. You name it and it goes! This kid loves his hammer (and Gus does too--if you look closely you'll see the end of the handle chewed up). Hopefully he'll learn how to properly use it and then he can help mommy fix things around the house.
Quick story: the other day while I was working from home I heard some rummaging and I turned around to find Miles almost completely submerged, head first, in his toy box. He was rustling around for something and then all of a sudden he stood up and gave me this huge smile and pulled out his hammer. I sure do love the fact that he loves his manual labour tools.

Your story kind of reminds me of someone that got stuck in a magazine pot on Sunday night.
