Nursery (thus far)

We decided to take the plunge and buy a crib, finally. We bought all of our furniture from Babinski's, but it was a struggle to pick something out. Pregnancy has made me extremely indecisive. I picture us using this furniture for all of our children so I guess it's a good investment, right?
This is what we have finished thus far. The chair is super comfy and everytime I walk past the room Tim is sitting in it just relaxing. We have still to hang pictures and decor from the walls, but that will get done in it's own due time (hopefully before he gets here).

Tim also spent the better part of 3 weeks (in the evenings after work) redoing our closets. He formatted them to his liking and then went to town. I love how they turned out and it was so much fun to fill them with all of his little stuff.

I love this tall shelf from Ikea. Even more, I loved the price!

A while back I made this cloth growth chart and hand stitched the numbers in with different colored thread. I still need to stitch our little guy's name at the top and hang it somewhere in the room, but for right now it debuts on the backside of the door.

Oh woops! How did these two cute foolios get on this blog post? I'd like to think they are very excited to meet this little guy, but in all honesty they have no idea what is about to happen to them. I have a feeling they are going to be uprooted and their entire lives as they know it will most definitely change.

HypnoBirthing Conversation

Tim: Hey when we listen to the relaxation CD and it asks you to think of a soothing and relaxing color, what do you think of?

Kirsten: Green, why?

Tim: Oh I was just curious

Kirsten: What color do you think of?

Tim: (with a very serious face—all jokes aside) I think of a pale pastel blushy plum color.

Kirsten: (laughing)

Tim: Why are you laughing?

Kirsten: I don’t know sweetie you’re just cute. I say simple “green” and you say “pale pastel blushy plum” that’s all.

Tim: Well… I happen to like the color plum.

Kirsten: Good, I’m glad. I like the color green.

Tim cracks me up. Would you have ever guessed that he likes the color “plum?” Not me. In fact, the only colors you would find in his closet are black, brown, gray and navy blue. Ohhh… the conversations we’ve found ourselves in due to this Hypno-Birthing class. I think someone is just begging for a "pale pastel blushy plum" shirt for Christmas :)

Juno & Bleeker (the married version)

Our ward did an Oscar's night a couple of weeks ago and although dressing up as Juno and Bleeker wasn't the most appropriate thing to do, we couldn't think of any other actors/actresses we could imitate for the evening. Every class was in charge of recording a video to portray a value out of the Strength of Youth pamphlet. Tim's boys did an animated video on "sexual purity." The animations had voice-overs and Tim spent weeks making it on his computer--it was a big hit. In this photo I'm approximately 31 weeks, but now I'm closer to 34 weeks and much much larger in size (or so I feel). :)
