Our Days...

Lately, our days have been filled with many courageous dinosaur hunts...
...stringing/eating fruit loop necklaces...
... and just being down-right silly.  That is what we've been busy doing lately.

Ski Day at Sandia Peak Resort {Ham's First Day on Skis)

Yesterday it snowed a lot (for Albuquerque standards)!  The roads were not plowed, schools started later, businesses had delayed openings and we went skiing!  We spontaneous decided to book it on up to the nearest resort, which happens to be just under an hour away.  On the way up there, Miles kept singing, "we're going skiing, we're going skiing, go this way daddy, go that way daddy."  Apparently he knows a better route to get to the resort.  Maybe we should have listened, because we got stuck behind an extremely slow snowplow and it took us quite a bit longer to get there, but all was well once we arrived.  Miles could hardly contain himself with excitement.
At one point M realized I wasn't using the red straps to hold him up and he turned around and said, "mommy you need to use my dog leash, please."  Whatever you say Miles.
Best believe it!  Graham skiing for the first time at 19 months!!!  He beat M's record of beginning at 22 months.  We'll just ignore the fact that he kept saying, "I want out!" the entire way down the hill.  Not sure if he wanted out of Daddy's arms, out of his ginormous ski suit, or out of the ski's itself.  Whatever it was, he didn't enjoy it as much as we anticipated.  He did enjoy throwing snowballs at his brother, though.  Stinker!
Such a fun morning in the sun and SNOW!

Ode to Nana...

These boys love their nana!
The last day is always so solemn.  We hate saying goodbye, especially when there are no visit dates scheduled.  Come back soon Nana--we already miss you oodles and oodles.

M & G's First Time Bowling

Between Miles throwing his ball down our serious-faced semi-professional bowler neighbor's lane, causing the score to be off quite a bit, and Graham continually trying to run off and steal everyone's balls-- you could say we had a pretty fun night!  We're glad Grandma was there to help out.
M rocked the ball ramp!  He's pretty darn radical if I do say so myself.
Final Score-- Laticia (Tim's chosen name for me) wins with 91, The Boss (Tim) and Nana (Grandma) tie for second place, leaving Grahmbo (which was a shared game between M & G) only 4 points behind.  Fun night indeed!

Grandma+Dinosaurs=Heaven

My mom came to town for M's birthday and while here we visited the dinosaur museum.  I was a little uncertain about going-- last time we visited we stayed for 10 minutes before M cried out of pure terror to leave.  But this time he seemed to understand they were fake.
We walked around looking at all of the bones and then enjoyed our time in the "hands-on" room, where they let you hold bones and draw dinosaur footprints in sand boxes.  Really fun stuff.
Of course he had to wear his new dino-hoodie.  I'm so proud of him not being afraid this time--he's growing up. *sob*
