Camping in the Uintas

This past weekend we went camping with some coworkers/friends. We spent a couple of days up in the Uintas and hiked around some beautiful lakes, ate some yummy campfire food, and enjoyed each other's company. The dogs did awesome! They both slept through the night and this time there was no peeing and shaking in the tent (phew).

The ladies I work with! LOVE THEM! (from left to right: me, Amy, Christina & Heidi)
Chris and Christina staying warm by the fire. The temperature dropped down into the 50's in the evenings. It actually made for perfect sleeping. There is nothing I like more than being nice and cozy in my sleeping bag and chilly on my face.
Amy and Wes cuddling by the campfire.

Recruitment team (minus 2 people). Dave came up for the last night with his dog Jake. He left his sick/pregnant wife at home and came up to enjoy our company for a few hours before he returned to play nurse.
Family portrait at Upper Provo Falls! Tug looks as if Tim is strangling him.
We went on a hike up to Long Lake and once we finally reached our destination we had a lovely picnic, skipped rocks, and played with the dogs.
At one point I looked down to find Gus "helping himself" to his treats. We had packed an assortment of doggy treats for the boys and somehow Gus found them and was having a hay-day. He was being so funny! He was picking out the treats that he didn't like and setting them aside and then he was eating the ones he did. This picture is of Gus with his head completely submerged into his treat bag! Funny boy!
As usual...Gus was a muddy, dread-lock mess.
While we were up at the Lake Tug got into a scuffle with another dog and that dog didn't like Tug's playful attitude. Tug has a lovely scar on his nose and he was bleeding pretty bad.
After all the camping, hiking, cooking, eating, talking, and lounging around we came home unpacked and lounge some more. Although Tug and Gus live for these adventures they were both pooped when we returned home.

I'm a "Reserved Director"

I've seen other people's blogs with this DNA personality test and I thought I would take it for fun. If you want to see my results you can check out the link. If you take the test, let me know what your results are. It's all in fun and some of the stuff I disagree with as far as my personality type they came up with.

3 strikes--you're out! (or in softball it's 2 strikes)

Recently, you would have found Tim and I helping out Sabrina's (Tim's brother-Tad's wife) work softball team on Wednesday nights. However, I believe we have lost for good this week. Our team (I really shouldn't be including myself in the "our" part, because I only play when there aren't enough girls from the law firm to play) lost the game on Wednesday 29 to 25. It was the final game before the championships and unfortunately for the team I had to play due to a lack of females and an abundance of pregnant women that couldn't play. However, I didn't bring any running shoes and was forced to play in my flip flops. I actually scored 2 points (I was calling them goals and then later the boys were making fun of me---I really don't know softball language), but that was not enough to pull us through. It was quite comical to watch me play catcher (and I can't even catch a ball). In fact, at one point someone threw the ball to home base to get someone out and I hid my head with my glove and yelled "I'm not even going to try to catch that". The ump was laughing so hard at me and told me that in all of his years of umping, he had never been so entertained. In a nutshell, I'm sure he thought I was the ditziest girl there ever was. Needless to say, all of this playing has inspired me to try and get my workplace to start up our own softball team. We'll see how things go, maybe we'll be playing Sabrina's team in the championships next year. Sabrina-this blog was my attempt of an apology for the lousy playing--please relay the message to your co-workers. :)

24th of July Weekend Pictures!

At the finish line of the run. I'm not looking so good!Addy cheering us on around mile 8

Mile 8--still looking happy
Teish rocking the surf boat behind the boat

This is one of the only pictures I have of Aiden smiling. Soon after he tried to wakeboard and face planted real hard. The rest of the photo options were of him crying and looking terrified (but even when he looks terrified he's a cute little guy)
Stokes and Aiden--if you look closely you can see Aiden's miserable face. Too funny!

Addy showing us how it gets done on the wakeboard. That girl can rip!
Woops! How did that picture get in there? :)
